Mr.
Manolis Stratakis representing FORTHnet began with a presentation
of technological aspects of the project. Mr. Stratakis gave
an example of how the ad-hoc.com tool will be. He also explained
what elements should the language content have in order to be
easily adapted to the technological platform. Mr. Stratakis also
proposed to use only PDA devices and not w@p applications for
the implementation of the project, since they are portable, flexible
and not very expensive.
Moving
on to the financial aspects of the project a presentation was
given by Mr. Sofoklis Sotiriou who explained to the partners how
they should deal with their budget and how this budget can be
broken down (staff costs, travels, technology etc.) He explained
that there would be two financial reports. The first one should
be ready by the first of June 2002 and the final financial report
at the end of the project.
The
Memorandum of understanding was the last section
of the meeting. Mrs. Malliou suggested having a report from all
the partners every week. All the members of the consortium agreed
on that proposal. It was also decided that the scenarios that
will be used for the construction of the language-learning tool
should be defined by the end of November 2001. By the end of November
2001 a report about the users’ needs is also expected from all
the partners. The technological partner, FORTHnet, should start
the development of the on-line manual and by the end of November
2001 should provide the coordinator with a report describing the
Ad-hoc.com language-learning tool.
