  Tuesday 12th of November 2002

The first issue discussed during the second day of the meeting was the future development of the language learning material. This issue was of great importance as the material should be finished by the end of January 2003. The development of the exercises was a very important part of this discussion. The content as well as the format of the exercises was discussed in details. At the end of this conversation the partnership decide to develop multiple choice exercises. The content of the exercises will be text comprehension and vocabulary. Further more the partnership decided to have two exercises for every language learning scenario. Each exercise will have three different options. The limited number of the exercises is due to the technical parameters of the PDA devices.
Concerning the development of the vocabulary the partnership decided to have one general vocabulary that will correspond to all the scenarios as well as specific vocabularies for each one of the scenarios. The first step for the development of the scenarios will be the construction of the vocabulary from English to German and vise versa. Responsible for this task is Mrs. Katsabi, representing Mewcat. Concerning the development of the material it was also decided to develop two more scenarios, "at the airport" and "The Olympic Games of 2004". The deadline for the development of the exercises and the vocabulary will be the 15th of December 2002.
